The Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards are a UK-wide celebration of excellence in mental health and well-being interventions, plus the celebration of inspirational mental health stories. Hosted by the Mental Health Awareness Programme, the awards launched in 2019 and are free to enter. Entries close in January and winners are announced at an awards ceremony held in September.

Judged by a panel representing clinicians and national mental health organisations, the awards cover the following categories:

  1. innovative mental health intervention.
  2. innovative proactive wellbeing activity.
  3. long-term impact (open to reactive or proactive interventions).
  4. the lifestyle award (evidence of lifestyle change in a population).
  5. outstanding contribution to the mental health and wellbeing sector.
  6. inspirational story (categories for children and adults).

  • Mindwise
  • Mental Health First Aid England
  • the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust
  • the University of Southampton

Entries are closed for the 2020 awards.

Awards Ceremony

The Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards Ceremony is set to be an inspirational evening, with all of our amazing professional entries shared by our celebrity host, in addition to announcing the winners:

  1. most innovative mental health intervention.
  2. most innovative proactive wellbeing activity.
  3. biggest long-term impact.
  4. the lifestyle award.
  5. outstanding contribution to the mental health and wellbeing sector.
  6. inspirational story (categories for children and adults).

7.30pm on 11th September 2020 at the prestigious Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge.

  • 6.15pm onwards – arrival
  • 7.30pm 3-course dinner is served
  • 9.30pm start of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Awards Ceremony
  • 11pm winners photocall

Shortlisted nominees for the Inspirational Story and Contribution to the Sector Categories will receive a complimentary seat at the awards ceremony, in the case they are under 18 years, then this will include an additional seat for a chaperone or parent/carer. This will be sent to them after the judges have met in February.

Invoices to companies will have 20% VAT added to them.

Nominated individuals do not need to purchase seats, but if booking seats for others should include their name in the attendees so you can be sat together.
